Heifer Care Giver
We’re hiring for a full-time, year-round Cattle - Livestock Feeder to join our team. Our farm is located in Avon NY. In this role you will be assisting in all areas of the farm mostly concentrating on animal care, feeding, and overall cattle management.20- 40+ hours per week including some weekend hours. Would consider full or part time candidate.Hourly rate based on experience along with benefits and paid vacation. Pay rates between $15 -$20 an hour based on experience.
Required Skills:
Must be able to drive a Class B truck with standard transmission. Class B license not required but a plus.
Must be able to operate pay loader and tractors.
Our ideal candidate brings:
Prior experience in farming, agriculture, livestock, cattle, or other relatable field.
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Strong personal motivation along with strong moral values and work ethic.
Ability to work extended hours if need be.
What you will be doing:
Assisting with animal care, cattle management, handling, and feed inventory management.
Equipment maintenance.
Assisting in other areas of the farm as needed.
Performing general farm labor such as building upkeep, grounds maintenance, etc.
Ag Equipment Mechanic /Operator:
Will be responsible for the day to day maintenance of our full line of equipment which including tractors, implements and trucks and trailers . 3-5 years relevant experience preferred. Some equipment operation as needed. Class A CDL or the willingness to obtain Class A CDL required. Any additional certifications a plus. Wage and benefits competitive and based on experience.
Seasonal Class A Drivers
Position 1: August 1st-October 15th, 5 hours per day local haul
Position 2: Harvest Season Driver, field to farm hauls
