Corn Planting

Each Spring we plant roughly 2,000 acres of grain corn that will be used in local ethanol production, cow feed, or sold into the global market. Our planter is outfitted with the latest technologies to ensure proper seeding performance.

Corn Harvest

We utilize two John Deere combines to harvest our crops. Both combines are equipped with state of the art yield monitoring equipment that is used to analyze crop production.

Wheat, Barley and Rye Planting

Each Fall we plant roughly 600 acres of small grains that will be sent to a variety of local businesses and processors. Our air seeder is used to plant all three crops.

Wheat, Barley and Rye Harvest

Our wheat is harvested in July and used in the production of flour for breads and pastries. Barley and rye are also harvested in July and used by local businesses or as a cover crop. We often harvest the resulting straw as well for use at our heifer operation or for sale to neighboring dairies.
